A business and trade exchange conference was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on March 8 to promote the quality development environment in Qianhai and Bao'an District.
Key areas in Bao’an such as its central area, Jiuwei International Headquarters Area, and Qianhai’s pro-business policies were introduced and promoted during the event.
A total of 21 projects were inked to be settled in Qianhai and Bao’an, with a total intended investment of 21.2 billion yuan (US$2.95 billion), according to Bao’an Daily. The projects are involved in logistics, trade, and advanced manufacturing fields.
The conference drew over 600 representatives from political circles, and entrepreneurs from Shenzhen and Hong Kong exchanged views and shared opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
A Shenzhen-Hong Kong communication card named “Qianhai card 2024” (前海卡2024)was also unveiled during the event. Qianhai cooperated with China’s three major telecom operators, including China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, to launch the card which is designed to help Hong Kong residents reduce communication costs on the mainland.
