Bao'an District opened 62 first stores of brands such as the Cosmetics Company Store and GEMO in 2023, according to Bao'an Daily. 

Shopping malls in the district have become the first choice of many brands to set up a store, demonstrating confidence in the district's economic strength, business vitality, and consumption potential. 

Following the city's efforts to build an international consumption center city, the district also plans to issue related preferential policies to further attract renowned domestic and foreign brands. 

In 2023, the Bao'an central business circle was selected among the first batch of featured business circles (pedestrian streets). Uniwalk Qianhai received over 43 million visits with sales revenue of 7.56 billion yuan (US$1.05 billion). 

At present, Boa'an is home to 37 shopping malls which cover an area of 3.13 million square meters in total, ranking first in the city.
