The Shenzhen Bao’an Marathon 2023 kicked off at the Coastal Square in Bao'an District this morning, attracting over 20,000 participants from 19 countries and regions.

The marathon course featured 45 designated points along the track where cultural performances were staged, providing a glimpse into Bao’an’s district profile. 

Notably, both the start and finish points of the full and half marathon races were located within the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone.

The track was flat and broad in terrain, with an elevation not exceeding 15 meters. En route to the finish line, runners also had the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the city’s nature landscape. 

Established in 2016, the Shenzhen Bao'an Marathon has been recognized as a “Gold Medal Event” of the Chinese Athletics Association and a World Athletics Label Road Race. It has become a top-tiered marathon event enjoying widespread popularity in China.
