A ceremony took place on Oct. 14 morning at the Harrow International School Shenzhen Qianhai to celebrate the grand opening of the Harrow Hong Kong Children School Shenzhen Qianhai. During the ceremony, a commemorative seal was presented by a representative of Harrow School, based in the United Kingdom, to both Qianhai schools.

This month, a special representative of Harrow School embarked on a journey from the United Kingdom to present the prestigious Harrow seal to eight of Harrow’s campuses in Asia, in recognition of their achievements in holistic education.

Since the establishment in 1998 of the first AISL Harrow School in Asia by Asia International School Limited (AISL), each Harrow school has been committed to upholding the educational ethos of Harrow. This ethos is based on core values such as courage, honor, humility, and fellowship.

Presently, AISL operates campuses in three cities within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA): Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Hong Kong.

Dr. Rosanna Wong, Chairman of AISL, introduced that each AISL campus is tailored to the local conditions, combining the advantages of local culture and educational resources. This approach helps Harrow students discover their passions and showcase their talents in areas such as music, sports, art, science, and innovation among others.

Dr. John Tan, the founding school head of the Harrow Hong Kong Children School Shenzhen Qianhai, stated that establishing a music talent training base in the GBA is an important strategy for AISL to promote holistic education. He added, “We will continue to organize such activities, providing Harrow students with opportunities to learn from world-class music groups and engage in exchanges.”
