Qianhai-based companies that have offices in both Shenzhen and Hong Kong are anticipated to reap the benefits of a faster office network with the inauguration of a new service offered by the China (Qianhai) Internet Exchange.

The launch of this service took place Thursday at an event organized by the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce Qianhai.

Previously, these companies grappled with challenges like video conferencing delays and office collaboration obstacles stemming from unreliable network stability. The new service offers a high-bandwidth, congestion-free, and high-availability two-way office network, which results in a 25% reduction in latency.

According to a product manager of the service, this new network product effectively integrates and leverages the advantages and capabilities of the China (Qianhai) Internet Exchange and network operators to offer point-to-point networking services for clients’ offices in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

After gaining access to the China (Qianhai) Internet Exchange, companies can apply for specific subsidies for network ports and data transmission based on local policies. These subsidies will effectively reduce costs.

A representative from the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce Qianhai said that this new service is anticipated to enhance the efficiency of office collaboration between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, provide tangible benefits to businesses, and contribute to the continuous optimization of Qianhai’s business environment.
