A delegation of tour guides from Hong Kong and Macao conducted exchanges with their mainland counterparts at the Qianhai Open Day on Tuesday, through which they gained a deeper understanding of the mainland tourism market development and explored related opportunities.

They visited some of Qianhai’s representative scenic spots, including the Qianhai Exhibition Hall, Qianhai Stone Park, Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub, OH Bay’s Bay Glory Ferris wheel and Sea World.

The delegation was led by Cen Yaozu, who was among the first batch of Hong Kong and Macao tour guides to obtain a work permit allowing them to practice in Qianhai. The open day event aimed to familiarize the Hong Kong and Macao tourism community with the measures facilitating their cross-border practice and attract more professionals from the two cities to explore development opportunities in Qianhai.

The second session of the Qianhai Open Day for Hong Kong and Macao tourism professionals is scheduled to be held June 28, showcasing Qianhai’s effort and willingness to strengthen cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao’s tourism industry to jointly promote the tourism development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
