A round-trip cross-border bus route between Qianhai and Hong Kong opened for business operation Friday morning and a bus departure ceremony was held in Qianhai to mark the event.

The bus route has set up three stations in Qianhai, including the east square of the Qianhai MIXC shopping mall, the Qianhai Kerry Center and the main entrance of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub. A total of four buses are scheduled to depart from the east square of Qianhai MIXC at 8: 30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m., respectively and pick up passengers at the other two stations before heading to the Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint.

Passengers taking the bus can get off at Hong Kong’s Kowloon, New Territories, Hong Kong Island and Lantau Island areas. A one-way ticket from Qianhai to New Territories is 40 yuan (US$5.82) and 50 yuan to Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, while the ticket price from Qianhai to the Hong Kong International Airport, the Hong Kong Disneyland and Hong Kong Ocean Park is 150 yuan.

Passengers can scan the QR code posted at the bus station at the east square of the Qianhai MIXC to book a ticket, and they will get a free return ticket for booking before May 31.

At Friday’s departure ceremony, 30 Hong Kong passengers experienced the bus service. A resident surnamed Zheng who is working in Qianhai spoke highly of the bus route as it provides a great convenience for her to travel between Hong Kong and Qianhai.
