Conference helps Qianhai firms learn policies better
Some representatives from Qianhai-based companies learned in detail about various supportive policies that they can benefit from at a policy briefing conference held in Qianhai on Thursday afternoon.
The event was jointly hosted by Qianhai Authority, the Nanshan and Bao’an district governments, and several municipal authorities and institutions.
Huang Xiaopeng, executive vice director of Qianhai Authority, said at the conference that through creating a first-class legal, financial and credit environment, Qianhai has attracted enterprises to gather in the area and allowed about 220,000 enterprises to connect with Hong Kong and go global from Qianhai.
At the conference, the Qianhai, Nanshan and Bao’an enterprise service centers signed an enterprise service cooperation agreement to further leverage the advantages of multiple policies’ multiplying and multiplier effects.
The three centers will jointly provide Qianhai enterprises with six major categories of services in terms of appeal response, administrative services, policy services, industrial space, corporate-oriented activities and value-added services.
According to the newly signed agreement, enterprises operating in Qianhai can apply for the support policies of Qianhai and those of Nanshan and Bao’an simultaneously. If an enterprise meets the requirements of similar support policies of the three authorities at the same time, it can choose the optimal one.
In addition, Qianhai Authority and the Bao’an and Nanshan district governments will actively promote cross-regional collaboration on their respective resources and jointly coordinate and solve the key demands raised by enterprises to create a desirable environment for their development.
Liu Guilin, vice director of Qianhai Authority, introduced some of Qianhai’s industrial policies about corporate and individual income tax, office space subsidies, and rewards for investment promotion, as well as measures encouraging the development of financial, commercial logistics, sci-tech innovation and professional service industries.
According to Liu, headquarters enterprises recognized by Qianhai Authority can receive up to 30 million yuan (US$4.34 million) in subsidies if they purchase office space in Qianhai, and the subsidy for other key institutions is 15 million yuan at most.
