Low-rent flats available for HK talents
The Qianhai Authority will provide 400 low-rent apartments for Hong Kong talents who meet certain qualifications.
The apartments are located in three residential compounds, namely Longhai Garden, Tanglang Town and Shenzhen Bay Science and Technology Ecological Park, in Nanshan District. The units are now open for application through Aug. 3.
To apply for an apartment, an applicant must be a full-time Hong Kong employee in a Qianhai-based company, public institution or social organization and is paying personal income tax and social security in Qianhai. The applicants must also be a Hong Kong associate degree holder or above, or a technician who meets Qianhai’s industrial development needs. The applicants and their spouses and children must not own any housing in Shenzhen and have not received any other form of housing purchase or rental subsidies.
Eligible applicants must submit their applications and relevant materials at the service counter located on the fifth floor of Qianhai International Talent Hub. After the applications are reviewed, the apartment selection order will be determined by lottery.
Currently, there are seven rental housing projects under construction in Qianhai, which will provide 3,180 low-rent apartments for Hong Kong talents. This is an effort by the Qianhai Authority to facilitate Hongkongers’ working, studying, entrepreneurship and life in Qianhai.
