The 21st China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) unveiled at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District on Nov. 13.
The Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority, on behalf of Shenzhen, attends the exhibition to showcase the achievements made during the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the pilot demonstration area with Chinese characteristics.
Relevant policies on constructing the pilot demonstration area and the city’s implementation plan for the GBA strategy are displayed in the pavilion, where visitors have access to the innovation achievements of Qianhai serving as the core engine of the pilot demonstration area, a high-level opening-up hub and a new international urban center.
Additionally, an interactive area in the pavilion is opened to visitors, allowing them to directly experience the achievements of Qianhai regarding economic development, Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation and institutional innovation through data visualization technology.
Wang Yongxiang, deputy director of the Inno-Tech Industry Department of Qianhai Inno-Tech Investment Holdings Co. Ltd. and designer of the pavilion, said that Qianhai is striving to grasp the opportunities brought by the digital economy.
“Focusing on digital industrialization, industrial digitalization and digital governance, Qianhai is undertaking a new round of reform tasks to break the constraints restricting innovation,” said Wang.
Three entrepreneurial teams from Qianhai showcased their cutting-edge products on-site, attracting a large audience.
As a technology company that has relocated from Hong Kong to Shenzhen, R-Guardian has created anti-loss and anti-theft smart luggage using Internet of Things technology. Combat robots and entertainment robots made by GJS Robot have gained hundreds of thousands of fans from home and abroad due to their fashionable and delicate design. AIATOR integrated AI technology into industrial robots, providing them with "brains" and "eyes."
Ding Zhongli, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Wang Weizhong, Shenzhen Party chief, Chen Rugui, mayor of Shenzhen, and Du Peng, director of Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority, visited the pavilion and had a cordial exchange with the entrepreneurial teams.
Qianhai is gaining a strong momentum regarding technological innovation. As of June this year, 78,700 sci-tech innovative enterprises had registered in Qianhai, including 128 enterprises that had paid over 10 million yuan (US$1.42 million) taxes, respectively.
In the first half this year, the VAT sales amount of sci-tech enterprises in Qianhai was over 200 billion yuan (US$28.5 billion), a yearly increase of 73.75 percent, which contributed to the economic growth of Qianhai by 18.59 percent.
The total number of patents applied by Qianhai-registered enterprises was 5,936, and there were seven unicorn enterprises in Qianhai, leading the Greater Bay Area.
