During a press conference held in Qianhai yesterday morning, a total of 11 enterprises expressed their strong interest in establishing operations within the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Artificial Intelligence (AI) Industry Cluster. This initiative, conceived by the Qianhai Authority, aims to bolster the development of the AI industry in the region.

At the event, representatives from various Qianhai-based companies showcased their latest AI products across multiple sectors. These included an AI finance and tax business assistant, an AI public service platform, and solutions for unmanned operations at local ports.

Fan Congming, the presiding chairman of the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, revealed that as of last year, Qianhai was home to 289 AI enterprises, with 213 specializing in AI-related applications.

Given its solid industrial foundation, innovative ethos, supportive policies, and efficient computing power supply, Qianhai is poised to witness further growth in the AI sector.

Under the latest policy, AI-related companies relocating their operations to Qianhai can benefit from office rent subsidies of up to 3 million yuan (US$416,715) distributed over a period of 36 months.

Furthermore, the GBA Integrated Computing Power Service Platform, jointly unveiled by the Qianhai Authority and the China (Qianhai) Internet Exchange in December, has linked up with 15 computing power pools.
